The UHH Ethnographic Sound Recordings Archive (ESRA) hosts recordings form the 1910th-1930th of Africa and the Middle East, as well as contemporary ethnomusicological recordings from Southeast Asia, China, Sri Lanka and related regions. The associated Computational Phonogram Archiving (COMSAR) is a Music Information Retrieval as well as a Artificial Intelligence system automatically analysing and sorting the archive pieces. Additionally, users can upload their own music and perform the computational analysis.
